A Fingerprint Clearance Report is a document that is issued after an individual’s fingerprints are scanned, uploaded and searched through the SAPS criminal record database.

The report will state whether or not there are any pending criminal cases or criminal convictions recorded against an individual. This report is used by Employers during the screening process of potential Employees. Certain Professional Regulatory Bodies like the South African Council for Educators and the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority require a fingerprint clearance report as part of the registration process.

The process of capturing an individual’s fingerprints is done by a trained Agent in the comfort of the individual’s Home, Business, University or School and takes about 10 minutes per applicant to complete. The Report is normally issued electronically within 24 hours.
